Youth Director/Pastor

MCCC is seeking a full-time Youth Director/Minister/Pastor to lead youth ministries (6th-12th grades). We are an independent church with a balanced emphasis on the Word of God in the Power of the Holy Spirit. The ideal candidate should have a passion for Christ, a heart for youth, experience in church youth ministry, seminary training, fluency in youth culture, thorough knowledge of Scripture, a mature relationship with the Lord, and a strong prayer life. The ability to handle the pressures of counseling youth, relating to parents, organizing a team of co-workers, and working with Pastors, Elders, and Deacons in the church is essential. Worship leading experience would be helpful. Responsibilities include preaching and teaching, developing small groups, leading prayer meetings, planning special events, and coordinating with the Sunday School department and English Ministries. The staff of MCCC will provide mentoring and support to facilitate the leadership growth and development of the Youth Director/Minister/Pastor.

Children’s Ministry Director

MCCC is seeking a person to serve as its full-time Children’s Ministry Director. (Part-time position can be considered based on the candidate’s availability.)

Job responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Children’s Ministry from nursery age through elementary school age (30+ children weekly);
  • Establish the vision and goals for the ministry; plan and execute the Children’s Ministry programs; maintain a safe environment in which children may learn and grow spiritually;
  • Recruit, train and motivate volunteers;
  • Develop Children’s Worship and Sunday School curriculum; organize and lead special outreach events, such as VBS and the Harvest Celebration;
  • Teach in Children’s Ministry worship services and Sunday school classes when needed;
  • Develop policies and procedures; prepare and manage budgets; obtain necessary materials for programs.

The candidate must:

  • Be a born-again Christian who is devoted to prayer and who lives a Christ-centered life;
  • Sense God’s call to ministry, be able to lead an energetic, evangelistic ministry, and display a passion for teaching children to know the Lord and His Word;
  • Assist parents in nurturing the spiritual growth of their children;
  • Have a servant-leadership mindset to cooperate well with co-workers and to build up the team;
  • Embrace the vision, mission, and statement of faith of MCCC;
  • Possess, or be in the process of obtaining, a degree in Children’s Ministry or its equivalent field from a Bible college or seminary; Biblical training in Christian counseling is a plus;
  • Have 2 years of full-time service experience, or 3 years of part-time volunteering service experience, in Children’s ministry;
  • Be willing to serve in a multicultural environment. Bilingual language skills in English and Mandarin is preferred.
